INGRUGAL WALK 100 WAS SUCCESS!

Over 30 hours of walking and it was worth every step!

Our mission is to stop the repetitive trauma caused by multiple placements with immediate housing facilities, improve stability and consistency for teens in long term care and those aging out of foster care. Each step of the 100-mile nonstop walk from Cedars of Lebanon State Park, Murfreesboro, Spring Hill and ending in downtown Franklin, moved us closer to that mission raising over $24,000!

Jonathan’s Path Walk 100 event comes days after the Department of Children’s Services told Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, “We have a real crisis on our hands.”

There are just under 9,000 kids in foster care in Tennessee and less than 4,500 foster homes. Tennessee is  the worst state in the country for permanent placement. This is why there is a critical need for Jonathan’s Path! We want teenagers that are coming into foster care to have the experience of stability, unconditional love, and a home from day one. Watch WKRN News coverage
